The brim is edged with handsewn and hand dyed pure silk satin ribbon....Gorgeous quality pure silk ruby red taffeta is handsewn and shirred (see photo below left for the fabulous interior!) over the entire hat; finest vintage hand dyed lace on the top of the crown, and exquisite antique silk ribbon garlanding the crown and ending in a huge bow with a fabulous vintage-inspired ruby jeweled bow brooch. Tons of beautiful silk flowers in red and purple, as well as delicate vintage purple velvet leaves...Three ruby ostrich plumes and two smaller purple ones swirl over the back. This is an absolutely breathtaking hat, for the Red Hat Society lady who wants something supremely elegant, impeccably stylish and beautifully crafted....The Red Hat to top all Red Hats indeed! Will fit any head size and is very comfortable on any hairstyle because of the wonderful silk shirred inside...Just fantastic!

A fabulous BIG 7 1/2" brim Titanic Edwardian style Red Hat in rich red shirred silk taffeta with an overlay of hand-dyed elaborate purple lace, ornamented with a draped sash and big puffy butterfly bow of red and purple striped silk.....the brim has a cascade of red orchids, deep purple mums & other flowers, and tiny sparkling red twigs that make it glimmer in the light! A gorgeous red and purple enameled & jeweled butterfly sits in the middle of the bow. This is one of my largest hats, however it is very comfortable to wear (it is solid red shirred silk on the underside) and a favorite with the Red Hat Society ladies as it's quite GRAND in true Edwardian style. Lace pattern will vary slightly than that shown here.

Right and above: Exquisite Victorian Red Tea Hat in a wonderful comfortable size and with truly sumptuous materials: shirred pure silk in an extraordinary iridescent weave that is changeable red/purple depending on how the light hits it.....a VERY unusual and gorgeous silk.....The brim edge features handsewn and hand dyed ruby red lace and the crown is a puff of matching hand dyed lace....roses and purple silk flowers garland the crown as well a a big bow and sash of red and purple striped silk. Finishing off this beauty are several fantastic two tone ostrich plumes in ruby/purple and a magnificent antique-style jeweled bow brooch in either ruby or dark amethyst rhinestones.....My own favorite Red Hat style and this just gets oohs and aahs wherever it is seen!
