These absolutely exquisite, completely handmade millinery pieces, tea hats, Victorian and Edwardian style artworks and other fine creations from my personally designed collection truly bring to mind the romance and nostalgia of the Victorian and Edwardian eras....They are beautifully and professionally made using only the very finest of materials, including and exclusively 100% silk and genuine antique laces and trims. My tea hats, Victorian hats, Edwardian grand hats and other creations have become treasured and very widely collectible works that have proven to be notoriously addictive---in a most delightful way! As the indomitable actress Mae West once said, "Too much of a good thing...is wonderful!" :-)

I am a degreed professional designer/artist with 30 years of costume studies and textile experience and a long time career creating historically inspired artworks for museums and private collections (please visit www.galinastudio.com to learn more!)....as well as a vintage clothing collector/model/restoration expert. I employ the craftsmanship and elements inherent in fine vintage in all of my works, masterfully melded with Old World workmanship and artistry. I know what truly fine vintage and true Edwardian and Victorian style is, having owned, handled and restored hundreds of antique/vintage pieces; therefore my ultimate goal is in striving for utmost perfection in recreating that kind of lost art form and in giving it new life....that means definitively only the very BEST of materials, and the best of taste in putting them together---guaranteed! Indeed however....in the final assessment it's not the materials that truly make my creations what they are; it's the originality, the exquisite taste and superb expertise that shines here, and that cannot be bought or copied anywhere else.

I myself wear what I create, in national fashion shows, photographic shoots, and to historical-themed and Victorian and Edwardian tea events, and many of my works have been worn in theatrical/dramatic productions, to prominent social events such as Ascot and the Kentucky Derby, and well-known historical reenactment gatherings such as the Somewhere in Time weekend and Titanic Ship of Dreams events, so my creations have to be the finest and MOST historically accurate they can be.....while adding my own artistic flair to form true millinery art as well....my own personal standards as well as those of my discriminating clients demands nothing less. Unlike the imitations you may see elsewhere, I do not use cheap synthetic fabrics in any of my creations.....and you will find NO synthetic lace, polyester, gaudy modern ribbon, loud colors, cheap feathers or feather "boas", or strings/fringes of plastic beads here.....my materials are exclusively antique laces and silks that are true to the era they represent in both quality and form, as well as flowers and feathers which I carefully hand-dye myself. Each of my items is a true artwork, and they are made with care, highly refined taste and color harmony.

I make it a point to add exquisite one of a kind lace pieces, oftentimes some rare antique feathers, and vintage jewelry accents from my personal collection to each tea hat, making them truly one of a kind masterpieces. As meticulously finished on the inside as they are outside, they include antique lace or 100% silk shirred linings & my signature/date in gold.
